Welcome everyone to the “STARS” where leadership and musicianship coexist.

We are extremely excited that our school has been selected as the representatives of the State of Illinois at the 2008 American Celebration of Music in China.  

In 2008, the Music Celebration will present the "Pre-Olympics Music Festival" in the cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Qinhuangdao, official venue sites of the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics.  We will depart Chicago on June 11, 2008 and return on June 23, 2008.  

This is a wonderful opportunity and a chance of a lifetime to represent our district,  state and country at such a prestigious event.  We seek to provide our students with as many educational endeavors as we possible can to prepare them for their future roles in society.  

The cost of the band's trip is approximately $162,000.  The cost will include airfare, transportation, concert arrangements, accommodations and meals. We have scheduled several fundraisers throughout the year to assist in the cost of our trip.

We still have quite a distance to go before our potential goals are accomplished and we will not give up until we have reached the "Stars". Our ultimate goal is to raise enough funds to guarantee that all 40 band members have a round trip ticket to Beijing.
